The Stateroom is located on Maryland Avenue in Historic Downtown Annapolis; half a block from the State House. This quaint cobblestone street offers numerous local antique and clothing shops, restaurants and galleries.

During the Colonial era, Maryland Avenue was the most fashionable street in this City, featuring homes of wealthy businessmen including the Chase Lloyd House (22 Maryland Ave) and the Hammond Harwood House (19 Maryland Ave). These homes serve as museums are provide incredible examples of colonial architecture.

Towards the far end of Maryland Avenue is Gate 3 of the Academy, close to the Naval Academy Museum, the Naval Academy Chapel and Bancroft Hall.
